Market smart for Prom

Prom season is in full swing, and with some creative marketing and a finger on the style-pulse, your business can make big profit. Teens are now spending an average $1000 on prom. Help create ease of mind for that special night.

Traditional dresses are on the way out, and traditional hairstyles are following right with them. Keep the style appropriate to the dress. If the dress is showy, tone down the hairstyle. Conversely, if the dress is more traditional, go wild with the hair.

  • Consider the neckline: if the dress is strapless or has a low back, consider leaving the hair half down to cover the back slightly.
  • Accessories: if your client has their heart set on a specific accessory, design the hair around that.
  • Weather: be cognizant of the weather and style the hair appropriately.
  • Clothing: make sure your clientele wear button up shirts, so they aren’t fighting with clothing after their hair is done.
  • Promote alternatives: let your clientele know that it’s important to have alternatives.
